Shorpy is the most extraordinary blog- historic photographs featuring ordinary hard-working people from the time since the lens was first in use.
The images of the lower-class and destitute are the ones I take particular interest in. Perhaps it's a past life thing, but the rag-tag stitched together and hand built nature of the housing and clothes just attracts me like moths to moonlight.
The photos of the exhibition will be up in the next few days- I finally have them and I'm just cleaning them up. By the way, since people are actually reading this blog (and I'm so awestruck! Thank you!) can anyone tell me if there's a setting that allows me to receive email notifications to comments? I can't seem to find one...

Francesca, If you go to your Blogger Dashboard, over on the right you'll see "Settings";if you click on that it comes up with a number of tabs, the fourth one along is "Comments". You can choose your settings for comments here and if you scroll down to the bottom, you can add your email address so you receive alerts. Hope this helps!
