Etsy Favourites

Set of 3 mid-19th century tin boxes from oldohiofarmfinds - I love these SO much! The shipping is just too much between countries... *cries*
Vintage Webster's dictionary from AntiNu- this one's had quite the life!

Just found your blog through your comment at Seth's; I really enjoyed rummaging through your posts. Great photos and sources (love that Seth bought one of the boxes, can't wait to see what he does with it!). Especially enjoyed your post on pricing. As a painter you wouldn't think the same things apply, but they do - finding the right stuff for a still life, working out a composition, endless decisions about the details.... but in the end, it really is all about the love. At least until the rent is due :-)

I love those tins too - thanks for the links! I ended up finding two old books from the same seller!
Thanks too, for the post on pricing - that is a huge challenge for anyone who makes things - breaking it out the way you did really makes one realize all that is involved - and that one shouldn't undervalue their work.

Greetings from Canada. Penny I just read about you in the recent Artful Blogging. Very interesting ... and your blog also. I like this old book. This is what I look for at garage sales. Hope to post some of the pics in future. Sandra
