We bring you now to another installment in...

...men who are very attractive, but are unfortunately also very dead.

I've always had a soft spot for Mr.Poe. I discovered him when I was 14 and memorised The Raven to calm me down if I woke up from a nightmare. I've not seen this image before, it's so lovely.

That's a wonderful reworking of the old black and white one we always see... very cool! I made a wreath (there's a not-so-good pic of it on my blog right now) of him inspired by Sommerset Studios last year... it was fun, but I would have loved to have this pic!

Such an inquisitive yet lonely face, though.

Great post!

I'm a big Poe fan too - have you seen the Poe box I made a couple months back? If no, click

I just picked up my May/June 2009 Artful Blogging to reread once more!

I love your article/stories...and your blog...and I have a new love for the bowerbirds and magpies...they're part of the family!

I love it all! A collector of objects like the bowerbirds! Bits and pieces of a time past, I loved my grandmothers cellar and the alley behind her house where you could find discarded treasures.

All my life I have loved the same things. Your articles are so close to home. Thanks for sharing.

I will echo the poster above and say how much I enjoyed your article in the Artful Blogging magazine as well. Well said, all of it. Mr. Poe lived and died near here, in Richmond Va. and also Baltimore Md. There are numerous tours and such that go to the houses he lived in, visits his grave in Baltimore. Very good choice!
