As requested, here are some shots of the front and back garden. These were taken on Tuesday, and represent exactly how we got the house. I shall get some more pictures in a few days. Click to enlarge!
Front garden
Back garden- so much work, so much potential!
The 'faery jungle'- a tiny fenced off area destined to become a chicken house, complete with lemon tree (currently drowning under a wormwood bush) and giant rosemary bush. I love the old-fashioned climbing roses over the gateway.
My housemate Phoebe, excited about our giant pond! Behind her is the shed that will become the studio, the blue doors (useless right now) will be replaced with windows.

Standing at the rear of the garden, looking back over the lawn- showing the rear deck and middle part of the garden. The veggie patch and fruit orchard is to my left, the chicken run to my right.
Tomorrow we wash the rest of the walls, replace the picture railing in the lounge room and get my wardrobe out of the shed. I hope to have all my furniture in by the middle of next week, and then start working on renovating the studio/bungalow.While this is all tremendous fun, I think I'll be glad when everything is all done and I can sit quietly in the corner and craft again!

What wonderful possibilities the house, garden and shed offer! I see the oldfashioned Auzzie spirit shining through, and already see it all ship shape and Bristol fashion. Just remember to enjoy the doing along the way. Just love the romantic gate to the chook run. Wormwood is a medicinal herb, can be chopped down to almost ground level, will sprout up again to give the chooks some shade they will not totally demolish. Maybe I'm speaking the the converted, but rosemary apart from being useful with roast lamb, can easily be topiaried into fantastic shapes as long as it is not cut back beyong the last few leaves. It is another plant that is chook hardy. I'd love to hear what that old rose turns out to be. I have quite a stock of golden oldies.

Boy, you have your work cut out for you but I can see amazing potential. The pond is going to look wonderful and the studio...I'm so envious! Looking forward to seeing progress. It doesn't sound as if you're frightened of hard work.
Oooooooooh the possibilities that live in every nook and cranny of the yard and studio space. Hunt them down with the most delicate of weapons - patience and hope.
Now this is my kinda place...new home, new adventure and the back yard and gardens will be heavenly to play in...oh, and have some fun too...

Hi Welky, yes this is in Australia! Down the bottom, right near the coast before you leap in the water for Tasmania. Our town isn't very magical but the house makes up for it! :)
