I have quite a few more things to put in the shop later as well, I've been spending alot of time on the sofa (where I do most of my stitching!) on account of recently acquiring the second season of Larkrise to Candleford - and I just found out there's a third season!
If you have any interest at all for period dramas (or as I call them 'bonnet movies') then please seek it out. It's more of a comedy for the most part, though it can make you tear up in an instant, and I find it generally more lively than most 19th century novel adaptations. (Good God save me from Jane Austen!) And all those west country accents make me homesick for a country I wasn't born in.

did i mention i love your earrings?
LOVE the bracelet. And thanks for the post on the show. I love BBC shows. Will be looking for this one!
I just finished the third series of Lark Rise...sometimes these types are a little too 'cute' for me, but this series is just wonderful, isn't it! I want to be Miss Lane when I grow up, and must admit to having quite a crush on Alfie. And those accents! My favourite ever!
I live in the West Coubtry and trust me thoese accents you hear in Lark Rise are nothing like the way we speak!
The accent most TV and film dramas have their actors speak is laughable to us, it's locally know as 'mummerset' dosen't exist!
sorry meant to say lovely blog you have and stuff....
btw google 'mummerset' see what I mean?
Hi Anon, Well I just came back from a month in the west country and they're pretty much dead on for what I got used to! Near enough to these Aussie ears anyhow- we all sound the same over here, the WC accent is so warm and inviting to me! I assumed the bbc accents were slightly adjusted to make folk sound more 19th century.
